The Houses Of Parliament The Houses Of Parliament 3 recommandations Opened in January 2002 on the site of a 17th century paper mill this English Pub has proved to be one of the most popular places to watch live sports on big screens in Bordeaux. Lively young staff, pool and darts competitions and some of the coolest music in town makes this a popular meeting place for French and International crowds of all ages. Open 7 days a week from 3pm to 2am (2pm to 2am on weekends), the HoP as it is known provides both a chill out environment and a party atmosphere at all times. Regular theme nights, the Pub Quiz plus the usual boisterous sporting encounters all keep the pub pumping. Gearing up for the 2007 Rugby World Cup, the HoP is undergoing a facelift, and will soon have new plasma screens, a new façade, new furniture and lighting, and will thus remain the best place in town to watch sports. The HoP is planning to host all matches live on the big screen as well as pool and darts competitions. Bearing in mind the pub is frequented by rugby players from France, Ireland, England, Tonga, Canada and New Zealand, you never know who you might bump into, but you're always guaranteed a good time with like minded people! If the T.V isn't your thing, there's a large selection of sporting memorabilia to keep you going.
