The Wild Rover

Welcome to The Wild Rover an Irish pub situated close to a historic site in Bordeaux (St Michel church and spire).

The Wild Rover opened it’s doors on the 29th September 2006. The owner Eithne Fee-Laborde is originally from Crossmaglen Co Armagh in Ireland. After her studies in Dublin she first lived in Paris and has now settled in Bordeaux with her husband and two children. The name The Wild Rover was chosen by her friends because it resembled her moving around all the time.

The pub has a full alcohol license and opens from 11a.m. to 2a.m. Happy hour is from 5p.m. to 8p.m. A large variety of pub grub is served at lunchtime 12a.m. to 2:30p.m. and in the evenings from 7p.m. to 11p.m. Meals include traditional Irish breakfast, Fish and Chips and the very popular Beef and Guinness pie.
The bar has 6 Beer taps and a large selection of Irish Whiskeys.

It is well known for it’s live music and jam session nights, usually once a week. The bar has 2 big screens and 5 tvs for transmission of all the Rugby, Football, Gaelic Football, and Hurley matches.

Theme nights are organised regularly with prizes for the most original outfits. You may also come and have a sing song on our karaoke nights but just make sure the owner doesn’t sing you will end up paying her to stop the screeching. You can also chance your arm at the quizz but brush up on your general knowledge on Ireland before you get here.

The bar organises dart competitions with the local restaurants and bars but could definetely use a few good players. Customers often play chess, backgammon or cards in the afternoons.
With the Tram stop St Michel very close no excuse for you not to come and have some fun.
